Who we are

Bourbon Beef ("we", "us") is a Kentucky beef producer outside Shelbyville. This policy covers bourbonbeef.com and the ways we communicate with you. Questions go to info@bourbonbeef.com.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to answer you and to fulfil a reservation.

Contact and reservation forms: your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the type of inquiry, how you prefer to be reached and your message.
Reservation notices: your email address and, if you choose, whether you are interested in a half or a whole.
Orders: billing, delivery and payment details are collected and processed by Shopify when you check out. We do not store your card number.
Site usage: if you accept analytics cookies, anonymous information about pages visited, device and browser. Essential cookies keep the site and checkout working.

How we use it

To reply to your inquiry and confirm availability and terms for a reservation.
To process, package and deliver your reservation and to contact you about delivery timing.
To tell you when a reservation opens, if you asked us to.
To understand how the site is used and improve it.
To meet legal, tax and food-safety obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.

Who we share it with

We share information only with services that help us run the operation and the site, and only for that purpose: Shopify (store, checkout and customer records), our email provider, delivery carriers and processors who need a delivery address, and professional advisers where the law requires. Each is bound to protect your information.

Cookies

Essential cookies are always on; they keep the site, forms and Shopify checkout working. Analytics cookies are optional and off until you accept them in the cookie bar. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer, and you can clear cookies in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

Inquiry messages are kept as long as needed to answer them and to serve your reservation. Order records are kept for as long as tax and food-safety law require. Reservation-notice emails are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any notice or by writing to us.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law. You can unsubscribe from reservation notices at any time. Write to info@bourbonbeef.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our products and site are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payments are handled by Shopify, which is PCI DSS compliant. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so we keep the information we hold to a minimum.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with a new date. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
